About CocoHydro

CocoHydro was started by a couple of guys that love coconut water, yet were very disheartened by the environmental negatives that come along with drinking coconut water far away from where it actually comes from... the tropics.

So, what are the negatives?  Well in our minds, it's just crazy to ship water from thousands of miles away.  Even if it's really good water, it still seems like a serious waste of our limited resources.  And to add even more head scratching to the equation, many coconut waters are packaged in non-recyclable packaging!  UGH!!!  So, we're shipping water from half way around the world that is packaged in non-recyclable packaging... straight to the landfill.

Uhm, we're not into that situation and we know that you're not either.

That's why we created CocoHydro.  Our coconut water mix is the most delicious, refreshing, nourishing, eco-friendly coconut water out there.  We pack it in a 25 serving reusable - recyclable canister that is less expensive, per serving, than any coconut water on the market.

Bottom line, it's good.  Real good.  Tasty enough to make you want it everyday.  Affordable enough to allow you to have it everyday.  Environmentally friendly so you won't feel guilty about having it everyday.  Finally, a coconut water option that you can drink to!

Who are the guys behind it?  Frederick Schilling and Ben Ripple, the guys behind Big Tree Farms.  in our ashland oregon office, hard at work at 3:21am

We spend a lot of time in the tropics, so we know the positive attributes of coconut water and we drink it everyday.  Big Tree Farms, the parent company, works directly with coconut growers on the island of Java, so we know the source of the coconuts (check out our other coconut product - Sweet Tree Coconut Palm Nectar).  We are both extreme athletes, so we appreciate what CocoHydro does for us before and after doing our thumb wrestling tournaments.

Yet, we're also very sensitive to our environmental footprint and the thought of shipping water thousands of miles across the globe just didn't sit well with us.  We are taking every step we can to ensure we lighten the load on nature and we will continue to so.

Thanks for reading about us and our creation.  Feel free to drop us a note with questions, comments or a thumb wrestling challenge.... but be forwarded... we're good!
